Hello!

Thanks for your interest! I consult and work with small businesses, writers, musicians, artists, as well as other creatives and thought leaders to increase awareness through media coverage, branding, strategy, editorial calendars, social media, events and content development.  Please email me to schedule a fifteen-minute introduction call.

Currently based out of the Greater Milwaukee area in Wisconsin, my clients and projects are near and far. I’m a native of upstate South Carolina with ties to Greenville, Columbia and Charleston, and have also lived in Boulder and Los Angeles. In Austin, I founded a public relations, marketing, event planning, and entertainment firm and worked with nonprofits, small businesses, artists, and musicians. I was selected for the development program Leaders in Austin Music offered by the City of Austin and Austin Music Foundation, served as executive director for the Austin Independent Business Alliance, and was named to the Austin American-Statesman Out and About 500 featuring local leaders.

Before working in public relations, I was a freelance writer and reporter,  and a creative strategist in advertising, marketing, and communications. My writing experience includes my role as the Associate Editor for Texas EMS Magazine, bylines in The Austin American-Statesman and Austin Monthly Magazine, as well as columns for The Post and Courier (Charleston, SC), The Free Times (Columbia, SC), Skirt magazine (Charleston, SC), and others.

For over twenty years I’ve led memoir and community writing workshops, and in 2017 was chosen as faculty-in-residence for N.E.W. Leadership Texas at the University of Texas, a national nonpartisan political training program for college women.

Following my passion for education and activism addressing climate and social justice issues, I was selected as a Cooperative Energy Democracy Fellow in 2019 and as an Organizing Cooperative Fellow in 2020 by the international non-profit We Own It. The organizing training helps electric co-op member-owners fight for integrity, transparency, clean energy, lower rates, and restored democracy in their cooperative and trains organizers for leading mutal aid cooperatives.

So, what's your story? Drop me a note, and let's see if I can help you with strategy, social media, branding, events or public relations. Please say hello on social media also!
